However, from what I have heard from those who have applied, and from people I know who have done the PC, the application process can be pretty lengthy. Not that this should dissaude anyone from applying, it's just that you have to really commit yourself to getting in and be prepared to wait a long time before you know whether you've made it or not. I think the PC is a pretty awesome parallel to AmeriCorps but I feel like, as you said, having experience in your field is pretty important! Hey,
